Business Development and Proposal Writing – Bangkok and Amman, Autumn 2016
by MzN team
MzN have just returned from two weeks of capacity building workshops in Jordan and Thailand, where we brought our popular Business Development and Proposal Writing course to NGO staff. We started off in Bangkok, joined by participants from organisations such as BRAC, HELVETAS, Population Services International, and CORAD. Most of our trainees had traveled from Myanmar, highlighting the presently high level of humanitarian activity in the South East Asian nation.
We followed this with the same course in Amman, where we were met by a large and enthusiastic group of participants. Save the Children, DRC, UNRWA, and Relief International were amongst the INGOs who sent staff, with a large local showing from Jordan and nearby Lebanon.
In these workshops we not only covered the essentials of proposal writing, but also focused on an approach to business development that makes aid organisations financially sustainable. As competition increases and funding opportunities are further squeezed, our aim is to give NGOs the ability to survive and thrive in a rapidly changing sector.
Feedback is really important to us at MzN International, so we are always happy to receive a positive reaction from participants. Take a look at the material below to see their thoughts:
